Recipe: Wonton Soup

Ingredients

  • Chow Mein Noodles - 6 oz
  • Pork Wontons - 6 oz
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tsp
  • Garlic, minced - 1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger - 1/3 tsp
  • Chicken stock - 1 cup
  • Soy sauce - 1/2 tbsp
  • Scallion, sliced - 1/2 tbsp

Preparation

Chow Mein Noodles are precooked and ready to use. Defrost noodles under running water or blanch in hot water for 1-2 minutes. Remove and drain excess water.

In a sauce pot, heat vegetable oil on low heat, add garlic and ginger and cook for about 5 minutes. Turn off heat.

Add chicken stock and soy sauce. Bring to a boil.

Place frozen Pork Wonton in boiling water for 1.5-2 minutes, drain and put in boiling broth. Add Chow Mein Noodles to the broth. Top with scallion. Ready to serve.
